Question: Which is easier to read Shakespeare’s plays or the King James Bible.

Shakespeare’s plays and the King James Bible are both amazing examples of English literature. But mainly due to their old language many people today find them difficult to read. I think that depending on your circumstances either one could be harder to read than the other.

The language is fairly similar because they were written at roughly the same time. The main difference between the two texts is that the King James Bible is a Christian religious book. While Shakespeare’s plays are stories for people’s amusement. Therefore, I think that if you are a Christian, you will have an easier time reading the King James Bible. Since, you are likely already familiar with Christian religious language. If you are not a Christian, then I think you will have an easier time reading Shakespeare’s plays because they are made for everyone to enjoy. In conclusion, I think the text that is more difficult to read will depend on whether you are a Christian or not.
