Does Government Control come with Government Subsidies

Today the government subsidizes many things. With these subsidies comes much government control. Consider the alternative of there being no government control. If the government gives out free money, then it will only lead to corruption. Suppose one day the government decided to give out 1 or 10 million dollars to any random person and they didn’t care at all what that person did with the money. If that happens, then how can the government make sure the money is being used on what they told the taxpayers they would do. People with government connections would take all the money and do whatever they want with it. The government must impose rules: for using “free money.” If they don’t the government cronies will just take the money. As you can see, government control must come with government subsidies.

This is why people shouldn’t accept government subsidies. Whenever they do the government will impose rules on them. It is even worse if they become dependent on government subsidies. At this point the government will have complete control over their lives because they control their income. For example, if someone was dependent on a government check to eat, then they would do anything to get that check. Therefore, the government cam impose as many rules as it wants on them because they control whether they eat or not. There is also the fact that in order for the government to get the money to subsidize things they have to steal it from other people.
