One of the greatest things about homeschooling and the Ron Paul Curriculum is that I can teach myself wherever and whenever. Unlike traditional schooling, all of the lessons for the Ron Paul Curriculum are prerecorded videos. The videos are always available for me to watch so it doesn’t matter when I do school. I can do it early in the morning or in the middle of the night. It’s great! Another great thing is that I can do school wherever, as long as there is internet. If I have my laptop or phone, then I can get on the Ron Paul Curriculum website and do school wherever. It really helps me be efficient and get my school done.
Another thing I love is that I get to teach myself. By “teach myself” I mean I watch the video lesson and do whatever reading/writing assignment there is that day without needing to be nagged. My mom isn’t nagging me and breathing down my neck anymore while I do school, which is really nice. It also is great at building my self-discipline and my independence. Since I am responsible for my own schooling those two things just come naturally. It will help me greatly in life not needing someone to be there to make me do my work.

All the factors above allow me to enjoy life more. I don’t have a rigid school schedule I follow; I get it done whenever I feel like it. Every day I do random fun activities when I feel like it especially when we are camping. This is definitely one of my favorite parts of homeschooling. I can’t even imagine going back to public school and having to be there 8 hours a day 5 days a week. It’s like having a full time job but I don’t get paid! It sucks! That’s why I love the flexible schedule that comes with homeschooling.
