Have you ever considered robots as threat to your job? Well depending on your job, a robot could be replacing you soon. For example, all around the world many assembly line workers are being replaced with robots. They are advancing rapidly. IBM created Watson, a robot that destroyed the greatest minds in Jeopardy. There is also a general-purpose robot named Baxter. He can learn to do anything you show him. Before long they could replace most people whose work is a repetitive process. Amazon is implementing thousands of Kiva robots in its facilities. They are capable of retrieving the millions of items much faster than a human.
How to Stay Ahead of the Robots
Well how are we supposed to stay ahead of Robots? They are great at doing the same thing over and over again. So, the best way to stay ahead of them is to do something that is creative. One good option would be running your own business. When you are running a business, you have to think up all sorts of different ideas. Business owners have to deal with different complex problems every day. They have to be innovative to stay ahead of the competition. They also have to represent the company and they have to market the company.
As of now these are things robots aren’t great at doing and probably won’t be good at for a long time. So, you can rest assured that you won’t be out of work if you run a business. As a business owner you could even benefit from robots. Depending on your situation they could cost less and could be more efficient than a human worker. Robots are coming and there is nothing you can do to stop them. So, you should start a business and take advantage of the robots.
